I’m ordering the Spanx bandeau too–my strapless bra is so so uncomfortable and I feel like the one-shoulder/strapless trend isn’t going anywhere soon, so hoping this will be much more comfy than the torture chamber of a strapless bra I’ve been wearing this summer!
Cardholder Early Access is Here!
Let’s do this, girls. Here’s our strategy:
Women’s Sale Items always go first. Shop for yourself before you shop Kids or Menswear.
Tops
Sweaters–so much animal print in sweaters, shoes and boots this year!
Annie here…Baby + Anniversary Sale is a dangerous time for me. Especially this year with all kinds of darling fall clothes and accessories for Margot! Lucky for us, there are some great deals and steals!
The North Face ALWAYS comes through for the Nordstrom Anniversary sale! Nicole & Emily stock up for the big kids’ winter coats every year and they always have great new color combos in time for the sale. This coat would be so cute for Margot to match the big kids and I love that they’re all reversible!
You asked. We answered! We loved hearing from YOU!! Thanks for helping us make some fun Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Wish Lists!
Petunia Picklebottom–not part of the Anniversary Sale this year:(( but we’re putting together a big Baby post to share soon! I did see this really cute Freshly Picked baby bag, though! I love that it’s a backpack too and its a great olive color that dads wouldn’t mind carrying either.
Frye–yes! This was a great suggestion! I only wish there was going to be MORE! These are ALL the Frye options in the #Nsale this year. Really cute. These will all be offered in 2-3 colors and the boots will be in extended calf sizes too. I think I’m going to try on the Carly boot. Hope they fit, so I can head into fall with cute new tall boots, rather than scrambling around after Christmas for boots on sale after all the sizes and good colors have been picked over!
Ugg–the best deal all year on our favorite Scuffette Slipper!! I also like the long hooded cardigan–a nice change from the annual Barefoot Dreams cardigan options for something cozy. And this year, it looks like your best Ugg bargains are going to be for your kids or your home!
Hunter–These will all be included in tons of colors! And the kids options are so cute too!!
Burberry Sunglasses–3 great choices included in the sale! I think my favorite are the 57mm Vintage Check! These will never go out of style.
You guys were hoping to see all the Vineyard Vines in the #NSale this year, and guess what?! There isn’t anything included for Women or Girls in the sale! Bummer. But, I linked up all the VV for Men & Boys below:
Vineyard Vines–for boys:
Vineyard Vines–for men:
Stay tuned for more!! XOXO, Emily, Nicole, Annie & Emma
Sneak peek on ALL the Tory Burch in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! What are your favorite brands? Are there any other brand spotlights you’d like to see a sneak peek of before cardholder early access launches on Friday?
If you’ve been eyeing a new Tory Burch handbag–this is the time!
One of my very favorite pairs of sunglasses will also be included in the sale! These lasted me a good two summers, but are pretty scratched up and need to be replaced.
Don’t forget to check back on this earlier post which had a big preview of #Nsale items! You can click the heart next to your favorites so you can find them faster on the first day of the sale! Remember–items will sell out, so its smart to check out as you go to avoid missing out on a favorite–you can always take advantage of free shipping, returns and excellent Nordstrom customer service.
Greetings from Omaha! We extended our 4th of July celebration into the weekend as some of my husband’s family was in town. We spent A LOT of time around the pool, soaking up the sun and swimming with the girls! We decorated our yard with Brittany’s fun yard stars, AND Lily lost her second front tooth! We’ve been keeping the Tooth Fairy busy!
My sister-in-law Lori and her husband celebrated their ten year wedding anniversary on Saturday evening. She planned a perfect beach theme party complete with a walking taco bar, and refreshing vodka + fruit lemonades. Maeve had three cupcakes!
Happy Anniversary!Cupcake monster
I made two recipes this weekend to share! I copied Emily and made her cold, delicious cucumber salad. So easy, fresh and colorful!
Fresh mozzarella, cucumber, tomato, your favorite Italian dressing, salt + pepper!
I also made pink champagne Jell-O shots for the anniversary party. I used a recipe I found on Pinterest and will post the link below. They were a hit! I found the star toothpicks and sprinkles on Amazon!
We had a busy weekend in Ann Arbor celebrating our youngest sister cousin’s first birthday! My parents came to town from Southern California for the weekend and we started the celebrations on Thursday night at the Ann Arbor Summer Festival. Nothing like a barefoot baby dancing around a beer garden to kick of her birthday weekend!

We got homeThursday nightto a broken air conditioner and then spent the day Friday in our sauna of a house doing all the party food prep (going into heat stroke to make your daughter’s first birthday special – priceless). We made pulled pork sliders in the crockpot and served them with a fruit salad, arugula salad, and our family’s famous potato salad (recipes below).
Saturday afternoonwas party time. The ac was fixed just in time for 25 people to be in the house. We had all of Margot’s little friends over and they played games and celebrated all afternoon. Margot went to town on her Lemon Raspberry Cake – we had to pry it away from her and distract her with all of her new birthday presents! We felt so grateful for all of the people who spoiled our little girl on her big day. There’s nothing like seeing how much your loved ones love your baby:).
On Sunday we went to a birthday brunch at our new favorite spot in town – Anna’s House. The birthday girl took a long nap that afternoon while we packed up for our trip to Clear Lake for the week! Monday morningwe got on the road bright and early to head to the CLC motherland! We got to stop in Brooklyn to see family and two statues that were put up to honor Mollie <3.
Wishing you all a safe and happy 4th! Stay tuned for updates from Clear Lake!
Xo, Annie
